Education Specialist Credential

(Available at our locations in Stockton, Merced, Tulare, and Los Angeles. Please call about other locations.)

The Education Specialist Instruction Credential authorizes the holder to teach special education in the area of specialization for which they are authorized (e.g. mild/moderate) in classrooms like resource rooms, special day classes, nonpublic schools and agencies. Our program has been approved (SB2029 & SB1621) as an integrated program that addresses Level I and Level II requirements in a continuous sequence. At the conclusion of our integrated program, candidates earn a Professional Level II Education Specialist Credential. All Preliminary Level I and Professional Level II requirements are included in the design of our single, continuous program. Since our program includes both Level I and Level II requirements, it is about three years in duration (not including the pre-service modules IMPACT Framework for Teaching, which is completed before entering the credential program as an intern). This program does include ELL/SDAIE authorization (equivalent to CLAD). Total program tuition is $9000, including books.
